Marco Borghetti

was born in Rho (Milan) in January 1975. He first approaches photography at the age of 17 and, after his high school leaving certification, in 1994 he starts the vocational school for photography Riccardo Bauer, in Milan, where he obtains his diploma in 1996. He soon begins to work as a photographer assistant both in a studio and for outdoor location shots, but in 1997 his experience of community service brings him back to his real passion, social work. In the same period he becomes very keen on streets acts and begins to work as a tumbler and as a still photographer for several festivals and theatre companies. In 1999 he starts to travel and to use photography as a mean to discover and to tell the world and himself. He goes on several journeys to Mexico, where he makes reportages working in close collaboration with S.C.I. Italy – Sedepac Mexico – Methodus Mexico, and he travels also to Brazil and Ecuador; from this last journey the book “Ecuador. I volti della diversità”, ed. Sugarco, was born.
